The BASF Ultrafiltration (UF) filter is made from a microporous material and must be primed before first use. If air remains trapped inside the filter, it can completely block the water flow.

How do I prime the BASF Ultrafiltration (UF) filter?

1. Fill the fresh water tank halfway with clean water.
2. Remove the air from the filter by placing the BASF Ultrafiltration (UF) filter horizontally under the water. Keep it submerged until no more air bubbles rise to the surface. This usually takes only a few seconds.
3. Install the filter by aligning it with the filter compartment and pressing it firmly into place until it is fully seated.
4. Complete the setup by filling the fresh water tank if necessary, closing the lid and placing the tank back onto the base.

Note: If the BASF Ultrafiltration (UF) filter has not been primed, trapped air can completely block the water flow.

Tip: You only need to prime the filter when installing a new BASF Ultrafiltration (UF) filter for the first time or whenever you replace the filter.
