How does the motion sensor (microwave radar) work?Updated 2 days ago
The Klyqa Welly features a built-in microwave radar motion sensor that detects when your pet approaches the fountain. When your pet is detected, the fountain automatically starts circulating fresh water to encourage drinking.
How does motion detection work?
When your pet approaches the fountain:
- On mains power (AC): Water circulates for 10 minutes.
- On battery power: Water circulates for 15 seconds to conserve battery life.
After each activation, the Klyqa Welly enters a cooldown period:
- 1 minute by default (adjustable in the Klyqa Pet App)
- During the cooldown period, additional movement is ignored.
- Once the cooldown period has ended, motion detection becomes active again.
Motion sensor settings
Open the Klyqa Pet App and go to Settings → Sensor Mode.
You can:
- Adjust the cooldown time (for example, 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes).
- Disable the cooldown period if you want the fountain to respond to every detected movement.
- Increase the cooldown period while running in Battery Saver Mode to maximise battery life.
- Enable 24/7 Fresh Water Mode if you prefer continuous water circulation.
Good to know:
- The water level in the drinking tray is automatically maintained at an optimum level, regardless of the selected operating mode.
- The built-in microwave radar sensor is designed to detect your pet's approach reliably, while movements from people nearby are generally ignored.
